3 Business Lessons
for Accelerated Growth
Lessons I Learned In My Business
2019 was a year to remember on many different levels. I reached new heights in personal development, attained most of my goals and objectives, improved my health and wellness. I also bettered my knowledge and developed new skill sets. These will undoubtedly serve me well for years to come, not only in my business, but also in my personal life.
Those of you who know me know I have two businesses – one a wealth management business and the other a health and wellness products distribution and referral business.
My focus on this blog post is on my health and wellness business and the opportunities around it.
Now what are the 3 most important lessons I learnt this year?
3 most important lessons:
- I must continuously improve my knowledge and seek to understand not only my products but the company I represent as much as possible.
- When faced with a huge goal, I need to break it down into smaller targets and tasks and work on them a little bit at a time.
- It is better to be honest in all situations as a mistake is easier to forgive than loss of integrity or dishonestly.
Those are the lessons I have learnt in this year.
I have applied these lessons and they have helped me achieve tremendous growth in my business.
My deliberate and consistent efforts at improving my knowledge and understanding have helped to improve my confidence no end.
In my business, I have to lead by example and acquiring knowledge. This means I can share what I have learnt with my team and replicate my effort exponentially. It has also helped me successfully mentor my team members to becoming better versions of themselves.
In terms of achieving my goals, the major reason I was able to achieve my goals was because I broke the goals down into manageable bite sizes and ensured that I carried out my tasks daily and consistently.
I cannot overemphasise the value of honesty and integrity in doing business. One of the biggest reasons I believe I have been able to grow my business is this: The huge number of referrals I have received from those who have had a positive experience dealing with my business. I put that down to ensuring that I dealt honestly with all my contacts. I earned their trust as a result.
